Wat maakt
een drager uit,
Als wat hij draagt
Slechts ideeën zijn.

Zonder waarde,
zonder gewicht.
Zonder wereld,
zonder zicht.

Als een beukenblad
Dat trillend terug
Omhoog valt.

As for the shape and form; this is dedicated to, and up to a point inspired by D. Both P and D. This won't make sense to anyone, I know, but just so you'd know.

As for the content; this is dedicated to a book. The unbearable lightness of being. Just read it. By Milan Kundera.

From what I can understand of that (which would be the first line and the second stanza) it seems... intriguing. Like the middle part of a jigsaw without a border. :)

Ask me about barnacles, you won't regret it. (sometimes, it is what you've got, not just where you stick it.)

it would be a little impossible to translate though, it wouldn't make much sense.

Bedekt.
(H. De Coninck)

I'll take your word for that, but I liked the sound of the second bit unless I got it completely wrong... was one of the lines "without world"?
At least tell me what the title means?

yes, without world. Very good :)

The title means 'lightness', by the way.

I got about half by using similarities in German, and the other half I tried to get through Google, and I think I got the general idea of the entire thing =P

(And now just to read deeper into it *hehe*)

Just didn't quite understand "Dat trillend terug".. does the stanza mean the birch leaf is falling back up, trembling? If so, I like that imagery :D

... though offtimes better than master of one.
